I love how uncompromising A Course in Miracles is. It leaves no wiggle-room for doubt. It’s very ALL or NOTHING, which happens to be the reason I love it so much. If you want results, you can’t linger in a gray area. It’s very black or white. You have to decide and make a commitment and then actually move out of fear into happiness.
It’s exactly like going on a trip – you can either sit around think about how much fun the trip would be (but never going, which is what most people do) OR you can actually go. Pack your bags, lock up the house and GO.
It’s brilliant. It puts the key to healing and freedom in your hand.
The reason most people are not healed and happy is because they continue to linger in that gray-middle-area, wondering when life is going to change, wondering when other people are going to change.
They stay in their current point from which they view the world, hoping things get better. This will never work – because the point from which you view is the reason you see the world you think you see. The world you think you see is nothing more than an external picture of an internal condition: a mirror reflection of your thoughts, beliefs and emotions.
Therefore: healing is a shift in your point of view. YOU MOVE.
You make a decision that you are done with living the way you have been living. You are done with blaming. Done with criticizing. Don’t with grievances. Done with waiting, wishing, wondering.
And then you move.
Healing is THIS simple.
When you decide to move (which means to change your point of view, to change your thoughts to see from a new place), new experiences begin to occur.
Because the world you think you see is nothing more than an external picture of your inner condition.
Change your mind and the world
“Those who attempt to heal without being wholly joyous themselves call forth different kinds of responses at the same time, and thus deprive others of the joy of responding wholeheartedly.” -A Course in Miracles
“Whenever you are not wholly joyous, it is because you have reacted with a lack of love to one of God’s creations.” -A Course in Miracles.
Usually, the one you are reacting to with a lack of love is YOURSELF.
If you were to react with love to yourself and to everyone else, you would be wholly joyous.
So how do you get to a place of being wholly joyous and stay there?
Make a decision to be happy and then go there.
See that the way you have been living in not working.
Forgive everyone and everything.
There is a great Huna philosophy that I love: “Bless that which you want.”
If you want healing, then start blessing your health.
Stop complaining and worrying, and start blessing.
Live in a state of mind of gratitude.
See how quickly your life begins to change.
For those who cannot make this shift entirely, I suggest you buy a copy of A Course in Miracles and make a one-year commitment to do the workbook lessons (365 lessons to train your mind, it takes one year – one lesson per day)
If you have already done them and still not wholly joyous, do them again and be 100% uncompromising this time in your practicing.
