A lot of my own difficulty stemmed from being on a spiritual path for 25 years where I heard things like "I am not a body." I didn't understand what this meant but deep down I knew it was true. Since I always seemed to "be in" a body - and felt the solidness and "realness" of it, I thought I must be doing something wrong.
As a result, I spent years trying to transcend/escape the body through stillness practices and meditation. I lived entirely in the mind and imagination ignoring the body - and also hating the body at the same time for all the ways it limited me. I felt like a prisoner within trapped inside, wanting to get out and be free.
I know this sounds crazy, but you would not believe how many people I meet on a spiritual path who do exactly the same thing. Â
Everything changed for me in 2018. I dropped all the spiritual practices and made a decision to just live my life and be in the body, present to it.
I stopped checking out.Â
I was done with trying to reach enlightenment. I was done with being detached from the body.Â
All I wanted was to be happy and do what I love and spend the rest of my life enjoying life.Â
When I stopped trying to fix, change or heal the body, I began to feel better.
I began to notice all the attack thoughts I held about the body.
Now that I was in the body (no longer trying to escape the body), in the present moment, I began to experience peace and joy.Â
In this quiet, I become aware just how much I criticized the body, criticized the mind, criticized myself.Â
Through inner investigation practices - self-inquiry & observation - I stopped identifying with the inner attacking voice that judged everyone & everything.Â
Gradually, there was a recognition of my true nature which is Pure Presence. Consciousness. Life. Aliveness. Eternal Luminosity. Pure Light. Intelligence.Â
In this 6-week course, you are invited to explore this mind-body approach as your own direct experience - so you come to know your real nature of peace and happiness, while being in the body, perfectly present.

Mind-Body Mastery is, first and foremost, the recognition that you are not a body and you are not the mind - yet what you are encompasses both body & mind completely.
You are pure consciousness, eternal changelessness.
The approach that I most resonate with to come to know I am not a body is getting to know the body and the mind. To truly see how the Lisa body and mind operate.
The method I teach is self-inquiry, inner investigation and observation.
It is an invitation to see how body sensations and thoughts act on you. To become acquainted energy which is often labeled as agitation, irritation or anxiety.
To see how in certain situations you "move" into contraction into littleness, hiding, defense, attack - and to observe all of this activity without attachment and no judgment.Â
Mind-Body Mastery is the knowing that everything that you HOLD in mind eventually (or suddenly) shows up in the body, in your physical experience.
So the question is: WHAT ARE YOU HOLDING IN MIND?
What beliefs do you hold in mind about yourself, about the world, about others?
A lot of what is held in mind is unconscious and subconscious as beliefs, patterns, judgments, stories kept in place to "hold" our world and life together.Â
Mind-Body Mastery is the recognition that everything is connected.
Healing occurs naturally as you stop HOLDING onto the stories you hold about yourself. It's about seeing how you hold certain beliefs, perceptions, thoughts & patterns about yourself in mind, and allowing those beliefs to dissolve as you remember the truth about what you really are.
I use the word "hold" a lot because it's contains the whole key to peace and happiness.Â
So first you master the mind and the body, then without any effort ... your real nature "I" - Love's Presence - begins to shine through and be known by you.
After that, there is no going back to conflict and confusion.Â

I spent 25 years devoted to spiritual practices, trying to wake up, trying to heal, trying to reach happiness, without ever realizing that the "I" that was "not getting it" and "not there yet" and "working on it" was entirely unreal and designed to stay in conflict.
In October 2018, I was introduced to the idea of Awareness (Consciousness) as our true nature - which led to months of inner investigation and finally to the recognition of Self - the real I - which is eternal, changelessness, Presence, Being, intelligence, perfect happiness & perfect peace.
My approach begins with the body, mind and emotions because that's how it worked for me.Â
And that's how I teach.Â
When we work together, the focus is on the image of yourself that you believe is real. We face the beliefs you hold about yourself, the patterns and habits that arise in your life, old conditioning, thoughts, stories, memories.Â
I have found that working with the body and mind leads to realization of your true nature.Â

Your Course CurriculumÂ
Here's What Inside Mind-Body Mastery
Week 1:Â The War Against Yourself is Over
This week, observe and notice mind activity and body activity without trying to fix, improve or change anything.
Watch the body and mind the way you would watch a chair in the room. The chair is just a chair. You don’t have non-stop critical thoughts about it. You don’t have chronic negative thoughts about it. You don’t call it names. It’s just a chair. Mostly it doesn’t bother you at all. It’s just there, being a chair.
So how come when it comes to the body and thoughts – which are just objects in the room – we are so charged up, critical and negative about them?
Week 2:Â Investigating the Images You Hold About Yourself
The first step in healing, awakening & transformation is to see how utterly terrified you are to go within and investigate thoughts, feelings, sensations and emotions.
See the ways you distract, delay or procrastinate whenever an uncomfortable emotion or thought arises.
We have our “go-to-methods” that we “pull out” whenever we feel lack, limitation, conflict, worry, shame, guilt, fear or anger.
Week 3:Â The Mind-Body Approach to Healing & Awakening
Give all your love, light and presence to whatever arises/appears to you, moment to moment.
Whatever is arising in your experience, don’t resist it. Give it all your love and presence. Don’t hold onto it. Don’t think about it. Don’t analyze it. Don’t try to make it disappear and don’t try to make it go away. Don’t try to heal it or change it. Simply be present, acknowledging it as something that is arising/appearing in your experience. Give it all your love, all your light and all your presence.
Week 4:Â Dealing with Childhood Contraction, Reaction, Hiding & Resistance
This week, without judging and without blaming anyone – AND WITH PURE LOVE - spend time going down memory lane to your childhood to pinpoint when/where Consciousness began to contract into fear, hiding and littleness.
Be aware of patterns that began in childhood that are still active in your life now.
You may be free of the situation of your childhood (or adult life), but often there is a residue left in body and mind. When old residue, patterns and conditioning are SEEN in the light of Awareness and Love, those patterns begin to disappear.
Week 5:Â Relaxed Body, Calm Mind
After several repetitions of feeling fear, shame, guilt, irritation, doubt, anger, overwhelm, the feeling becomes chronic and eventually becomes a pattern, which quite often shows up in the body.
The body ends up matching the thoughts and feelings you have been HOLDING ONTO because body and mind are one. Don’t judge what you discover as chronic feelings, chronic thoughts and chronic patterns. Simply see this activity with no commentary and without analyzing. Just note what has become a chronic state of contraction in the thoughts you hold about yourself, the feelings you continually repeat, the patterns you engage in.
Week 6:Â Being Present
This week is about being aware of energy. The energy of thoughts. The energy of emotions. The energy of stories and habits. Notice how it feels and acts on you. Come into the body. Feel the body. Feel yourself to be in the body. Feel yourself to be the body. Feel yourself outside of the body. Feel the floor. Feel the chair.
Don’t try to make anything happen. You are simply resting, relaxing, enjoying.
In quiet and stillness, feel where there is energy, life and movement as you rest in this present moment. Notice how energy is held in the body.Â
